Taryn Tyau

Taryn Tyau is currently a junior majoring in Electrical Engineering - Systems and Data Sciences track, and minoring in Mathematics. She has an interest in programming, circuit design, and math. After graduation, she plans on gaining on island work experience before earning a Masters degree from a mainland institution. Taryn enjoys drinking matcha, playing piano, and hanging with friends during her free time.

Q: What Inspired You to Join HKN?

I joined HKN because it seemed like a good opportunity to make new connections with my engineering peers and be more engaged with the engineering community.

Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on the island?

My hometown is Aiea, but my favorite place on island is Makaha Beach.

Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?

I would like to live in Narnia because of the pretty scenery.

Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?

I want to go to Japan in the spring to see the sakura bloom.
