Shun Saito

Shun Saito is a junior in Electrical Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, focusing on the electro-physics track. Shun plans to pursue a bachelor’s and master’s program in electron physics and aims to bring their expertise to a career somewhere in Hawaii after graduation. Outside of class, Shun likes to stay active at the gym and unwind with video games.

Q: What Inspired You to Join HKN?

I joined IEEE-HKN to connect with other engineering students and get more involved at the university. With many friends who are HKN members, it felt natural to follow in their footsteps and be part of the engineering community.

Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on the island?

My hometown is Saitama, Japan, and my favorite place on the island is Waikiki.

Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?

I would love to live in the world of Studio Ghibli because it seems like a nice place to be in.

Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?

I would like to travel around the world.
