Ethan Ibanez

My name is Ethan Ibanez, and I am a senior in computer engineering. My current academic interests are in robotics and space exploration. My current aspirations are to get my masters through the BAM program and do good work at team RoSE, the robotics and space exploration project I am a part of right now. My hobbies include cooking, volleyball, 3D printing, and painting miniatures.

Q: What inspired you to join HKN?

I wanted to be apart of a group of great and high achieving engineers who have chosen the same path of academia as me. The pledging system seemed daunting but it also seemed a great way to get close to my fellow pledges.

Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on island?

My honetown is Mililani and my favorite place would have to be home. Has everything that I need and want.

Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?

It would be hard to say as a lot of worlds in fiction are a lot tougher and brutal then people would think. Maybe something like ready player one where it’s a forgiving RPG world.

Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?

I want to travel to Japan more. Not exactly a bucket list but let’s just say 10 times at least.
